Advertisement for Wonder Bread by the Continental Baking Co., Inc. includes a comic strip “I Never Worry About My Little Girl Now…,” in which a mother worriedly gazes at a crying girl in bed. She wonders if the child getting enough “energy food.” In the second panel the mother consults with a grocer who tells her that Wonder Bread is the “best energy food.” The final panel shows the mother contentedly looks at her sleeping child; she attributes the change to Wonder Bread. There are also a photograph of a young boy and girl, and an image of Wonder Bread in its new wrapper.
