It was a far cry from civilian life in the Middle West to bridge repairing on the river Meuse, near Brabant, France
Soldiers from the 108th engineers battalion of the 33rd division of the United States Army Reserve, cross a makeshift bridge as the carry repair equipment. The battalion originally formed part of the 1st engineers battalion of the Illinois National Guard.
