Blown up by the retreating enemy, this bridge had stood over Forges creek, near Forges, Meuse
An American soldier from the 108th field signal battalion travels over the debris of the Forges Creek bridge after it was bombed by retreating German forces. The 108th field signal battalion originally formed part of the Signal Corps Company A of the Illinois National Guard.
